Meaningful built an owned and earned strategy across the website, blog, social and supporting platforms. The plan targeted high-intent “big ticket” keywords at the bottom of the funnel while answering common traveller questions at the top. A detailed content program anchored this approach, supported by authority building and close alignment with paid search to prioritise demand.
The Result
HIPA’s organic performance lifted across every core metric. Average monthly traffic almost doubled, while referring domains also doubled. Page-one keywords jumped 263 percent. The focus term “Hamilton Island accommodation” moved from mid-pack to page one, driving a 3,520 percent lift in clicks and a 4,196 percent lift in impressions. Content played a key role, with the Getaway Guide producing steady traffic and high-ranking terms. HIPA now outperforms major local competitors in both traffic and search visibility, giving the brand a clear edge in the market.

We completed full market and keyword research, then mapped a content plan focused on high-value island terms. We launched the Getaway Guide to target traveller questions and location-based topics, while strengthening on-page SEO for priority pages. Meanwhile, we increased trusted backlinks to build domain authority and worked with paid search to ensure both channels pushed traffic and bookings in the same direction
